This is a pivotal role for us; our HR Advisors provide a best-in-class service to our clients in terms of HR advice and support; we focus on each stage of the employment cycle, including:

· Onboarding and off-boarding processes

· Developing people documentation (policies and handbooks),

· The provision of commercially focused HR and employment law advice

· Running people surveys


Working in a small business means you will from time to time need to turn your hand to different things to help with the running of the business – no 2 days are the same and we’re always learning and developing. We just love what we do


About the role:

This is a fast-paced and varied role. You'll be supporting a variety of clients with HR advice; they tend to range in headcount from 10 - 100 people and you'll be advising on all kinds of generalist HR topics such as:

  • Flexible working
  • Performance
  • Grievance
  • Disciplinary
  • Family friendly legislation

Our entire support service is provided to our clients using our CRM system; that means all HR support requests are raised, completed and closed off via our help-desk style system. This helps us keep a good handle on the volume of support needed, the spread of work across the team and that our commitment for excellent quality of service is being met.


Our wide variety of clients and generalist HR support means the role of HR Advisor is full of variety and opportunities to learn and develop, as well as continually helping companies to grow through their people. The career development opportunities are endless.


A bit about you:

  • We're looking for people with solid HR advisory experience in the UK, with an excellent understanding of employment law and applying it in a commercial setting.
  • We work at pace, so your ability to complete tasks efficiently will be key to your success in this role.
  • You'll be a real people person, happy to jump on a MS Teams call with a client to provide quick advice and support, or to pick up the phone and talk an issue through.
  • Your calm disposition will really allow you to put manager's minds at ease and to walk them through people solutions in a methodical and calm way.
  • You'll be hungry for development and keen to continually learn new things, which within our team, you'll have ample opportunity to do.
