About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Group Director of Construction & Design to join our executive team. This C-level position is critical to shaping the future of our diverse portfolio, which includes luxury resorts and mid-range hotels across the Caribbean and Central America. The successful candidate will lead our architectural, design, and technical services, driving the execution of cutting-edge projects that reflect our commitment to excellence, sustainability, and innovation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Spearhead the company’s architecture and design strategies, guiding projects from initial concept through to completion, and ensuring that all developments meet our rigorous standards for quality, efficiency, and aesthetic excellence.
  • Innovation & Sustainability: Lead the implementation of forward-thinking technical solutions that optimize project outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance the sustainability of our properties.
  • Executive Consultation: Serve as a trusted advisor to ownership and senior executives on innovative design concepts for resorts and hotels, influencing the direction of new developments and renovations.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and address risks related to design and construction, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning and execution of new resort openings and renovation projects, ensuring alignment with construction schedules and strategic goals.
  • Team Leadership: Direct a diverse, multi-disciplinary team of professionals, including directors, managers, and support staff, to effectively implement company-wide design and construction initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in architecture, construction, and design, with a proven track record in overseeing large-scale hospitality projects.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of sustainable building practices and the ability to integrate them into all aspects of project design and execution.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
