I am currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to join a recognised infrastructure business based in Aylesbury.


In this role you will provide the day to day support to Department Heads and Directors as well as leading a team of Junior Finance Business Partners.


You will:

  • Prepare periodic management accounts
  • Prepare a monthly reporting pack for relevant departmental heads in line with reporting timelines
  • Co-ordinate the work of the Junior Finance Business Partners in regard to reporting, Forecasts and Budgets
  • To meet with designated managers and functional directors every four weeks to discuss current cost performance and trends.
  • Cover variances in the period to forecast and budget, and assist the management team in determining action required to reduce variances and to deliver the agreed budget
  • Investigate and report on the key areas of the business and make recommendations for improvement
  • Identify cost trends and determine, with budget holders, what action is required
  • Identify and produce weekly reports on significant areas of cost within the functional areas
  • Support the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis with ad-hoc tasks and lead the junior Finance Business Partners in certain work streams


You have:

  • Part or fully qualified accountant.
  • Knowledge and experience of accounting systems and advanced excel skills
  • Significant management accounting experience
  • Ideally supervisory and team development experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexibility to manage peaks of work activity are important for the post holder


This role is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week required in the office in Aylesbury.
