About the Company:

We are partnered with a stealth-mode Insurtech start-up on a mission to transform an industry burdened by outdated software. Over the past few months, their small but skilled team has been diligently developing their next-generation workflow product, and they are now piloting their MVP with initial clients. Backed by a highly experienced board, including successful founders in the insurance sector, they leverage their deep industry connections to gain a competitive edge as they grow.

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help them build, ship, and scale their solutions. If you thrive in a start-up environment, can produce effective and secure code consistently, and want to make a significant impact from Day 1, we want to hear from you.

About the Role:

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer you will collaborate closely with the founder to enhance and expand their MVP, developing scalable, high-performance features. We are looking for a strong individual contributor who writes clean, effective code and is confident in making key technical decisions. You will engage hands-on across the full stack, addressing real-world inefficiencies in an industry poised for transformation. While the focus of this role is on building, there is ample opportunity for growth as the company scales.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and develop core product features across the full stack (Node, Electron, React, Tailwind).
  • Collaborate with the founder to translate client feedback into functional, scalable software.
  • Create an intuitive, high-performance UI that significantly reduces time and costs for users.
  • Prioritize security, performance, and best practices in every aspect of the stack.
  • Ship quickly, iterate frequently, and solve real-world challenges in an industry ready for change.

Requirements:

  • Strong development ability: We value your capacity to deliver exceptional software over specific degrees or credentials.
  • Start-up mentality: You are resourceful, proactive, and comfortable taking on various roles.
  • Experience with Node.js, Electron, React, Tailwind, and Vitest (or Jest).
  • Security-first mindset: You know how to build secure applications from the ground up.
  • Bonus: Experience in Insurtech, fintech, or B2B SaaS is a plus.
