Scope of the role
The Technical Director is responsible for leading the company's engineering strategy and operation to ensure successful execution of its product development roadmap. The scope of the role covers battery technology, IoT, mechanical, electrical and software engineering including the application of machine learning and AI. The Technical Director is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of product portfolio and platforms ensuring they align with the company’s business goals. The Technical Director will work across the business and with stakeholders to drive innovation, ensure security, scalability and performance of our product portfolio, delivering all new product development and features, taking concepts from the innovation stage through to full product development and into Production Engineering and Production Test disciplines.
Person Specification
The role will suit an Engineering, Projects, Programme Director or Senior Manager with a proven track record of project delivery in a complex technical environment, leading a sizeable team. The successful candidate will have delivered complex engineering projects spanning all engineering disciplines including all aspects of software development.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, software engineering or a related field.
Experience:
- Experience in technology leadership roles, with a focus on IoT solutions and systems.
- Proven track record of successful product development and deployment.
- Experience in managing large, cross-functional teams and complex projects.
Skills:
- Understanding of IoT technologies, protocols, and platforms.
- Strong technical expertise in software development, hardware integration, and network architecture.

Location:
