Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer – Manchester - to £42,000 + c.10% Bonus + Package.


Are you curious to test your ability to lead design projects in a client facing capacity, managing both the design and technical aspects on projects but also the financial, contractual aspects of Mechanical Building Services Design?


I am working exclusively with a global Real Estate Consultancy, recruiting for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join an established M&E team consisting of some of the best Engineers in the industry.


We are keen to speak to individuals who are interested in transferring their Mechanical Building Services Design skills Client- Side into the Commercial Property sector.


Essentially engineering solutions that work towards optimising client’s portfolios. A strategic service offering that involves overseeing building performance evaluations, analysing data, and implementing optimisation strategies through design to enhance energy efficiency.


Remuneration:


  • Salary £42,000
  • Discretionary Bonus c.10% per annum
  • 12% Pension
  • Life assurance 4 x salary
  • 25 days holiday
  • Healthcare


What you’ll do:


  • Carry out full detailed design stages 0-7
  • Client advisory directly with end user clients
  • Project management & coordination with other engineering and real estate disciplines
  • Prepare specifications, reports, design drawings and budget costs to programmes
  • Peer review and overseeing external consultant designs
  • Client/Project management

Over the last decade they developed a fully functioning, in-house M&E Consultancy that feeds of the M&E work that occurs across their client’s buildings and portfolio’s - full Project Management & Detailed Design (stages 0-7).


Uniquely, they have access to their own client base and do not have to competitively tender for projects, resulting in a less pressurised environment and providing the financial resources to recruit into the M&E team when needed rather than expecting employees to shoulder more pressure and work excessive hours.


Essentially, a client-side role that will give you direct access to clients, working on the client’s behalf as part of the client team as the client’s representative. Offering you direct access to clients thinking and an unprecedented insight into the clients psyche and the drivers behind commercial property ownership.


They have an established team of experienced M&E Engineers, from which to continue your leaning and development. There is structured training for all employees to CEng and a clear route of progression.


The earning potential is in excess of that in design consultancy, with a great salary and an excellent package, including annual bonus of circa 10% of salary and opportunities for CPD and career growth that are exponential.
