Our client is a market leading Private Equity backed business with revenues in excess of £350m generated in the UK and Europe. The company has developed extremely strong relationships with a core client base, making it the “go to” provider to most leading companies in its sector. There is considerable scope to drive margin improvement across the business, as well as a unique opportunity to create significant value by moving to a subscription-based model.
Description
This new role has been created to work closely with the FP&A and Commercial Finance teams to deliver timely and accurate insights that will drive profitable business growth. This is an excellent opportunity to directly impact strategy, providing commercial annalysis to support key stakeholders across the business.
The Finance Manager will support the Head of FP&A by delivering proactive business analysis and insight to the four operating units as well as the central teams. The role will also partner with the Commercial FD, identifying opportunities to drive profitability maximization through operational & commercial efficiencies, and cost savings. As well as the core duty of producing regular financial analysis the Finance Manager will also conduct deep-dives into sales, margin, and overheads, to recommend actionable insights. Ad hoc work will include customer, category, and product data analysis to support the senior leadership team with their decision making.
Skills
Applicants must hold a professional accounting qualification, ideally along with a degree in a numerate subject. Strong commercial acumen is essential, along with proven experience producing financial analysis, ideally focused on commercial business activity. First class communication and interpersonal skills are required to successfully communicate with a wide audience across the organisation, as is the ability to operate in a dynamic and ambiguous environment. Experience in Wholesale, Retail, FMCG or sectors with a high volume, low margin model would be an advantage.
