Role Overview:
As an M&A Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting mid-market sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions. You will be involved in every stage of the transaction process, from initial client engagement and market research to deal execution and closing. Working across a variety of sectors, you will gain exposure to a wide range of industries, providing you with an excellent opportunity to broaden your expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of transaction documentation, including Information Memorandums and financial models.
- Conduct market research and valuation analysis to support M&A transactions.
- Support senior team members in managing client relationships and liaising with potential buyers or sellers.
- Contribute to the identification and assessment of potential acquisition targets or strategic buyers.
- Assist in the negotiation and execution of transaction agreements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent): Essential qualification.
- Corporate Finance Experience: Prior experience in corporate finance, M&A, or transaction services would be beneficial but is not essential. The firm value strong analytical and financial skills, and a keen interest in M&A.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse financial statements, conduct valuations, and perform due diligence.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members at all levels.
- Proactive and Detail-Oriented: A self-starter with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
