Working with a market leading Investment Manager, we are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join an established commercial finance team, supporting a diverse range of company’s global alternative businesses, asset classes including real estate, hedge funds, private equity, and boutique equities across the US, UK, and Europe.


Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be integral to our financial planning and decision-making processes, offering vital support to our alternative investment businesses. Your role will include comprehensive revenue and cost analysis, strategic decision support, regular management information (MI) reporting, and planning/forecasting. You will also assist our product teams, focusing on fund profitability and new fund launches.


Key Tasks

  • Forecasting and Planning: Develop and manage forecasting models, perform variance analysis, and generate routine reports with a focus on business context and commercial insights.
  • Analytical Commentary: Create detailed and insightful commentary on business results, using diverse data sources to identify underlying trends and issues.
  • Financial Reporting: Deliver accurate and timely ad hoc financial reports and analysis.
  • Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong relationships within the finance team and across the business to improve data quality and financial understanding.
  • Business Partnership: Engage with senior business leaders to enhance finance's role and trust within the organization through valuable insights and strategic guidance.


What We're Looking For

  • Analytical Skills: Expertise in financial modelling and analysis using Excel or similar tools.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in FP&A or analytical/commercial finance roles within the Asset Management sector.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Proficiency in applying financial concepts to address and resolve business challenges.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of clearly conveying complex issues to management.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of finance, accounting, and analytical principles.
  • Professional Qualification: Newly qualified accountant or finalist (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).


Preferred Skills

  • Influence and Credibility: Experience in building influential relationships and establishing credibility within an organization.
  • Technical Tools: Proficiency in using data extraction tools like Qlikview or SQL.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience within the asset management industry.
