Are you a visionary leader in compiler technology with a passion for driving innovation? We're seeking an Engineering Director to lead a talented team of engineers in shaping the future of high-performance computing applications. This role is ideal for someone who excels in compiler construction, programming languages, and managing distributed teams across multiple disciplines.



Key Responsibilities


  • Leadership & Development: Lead a global team of compiler engineers enhancing code generation for critical network and virtualization applications.
  • Strategic Planning: Define team goals aligned with project timelines and company vision, and maintain open communication with senior leadership.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work alongside software, networking, and hardware teams to push the boundaries of next-gen processing unit software.
  • Innovation & Performance: Develop and implement new compiler optimizations, driving performance analysis and improvement.
  • Team Mentorship: Foster a culture of excellence, mentoring engineers and ensuring alignment with organizational values


What You'll Do

  • Optimize code generation for JIT-compiled code on Arm and x86 architectures.
  • Enhance compiler optimizations by leveraging compile-time and runtime data.
  • Improve profiling, debugging, and compiler toolchain capabilities.
  • Drive innovation at the intersection of Big Data and compiler technology.


What You'll Bring

  • 6+ years of experience in backend compiler engineering.
  • Deep understanding of LLVM, MLIR, and compiler algorithms.
  • Proficiency in C++14+ and modern software practices.
  • Passion for applying compiler technologies in Big Data.


Nice-to-Haves

  • Startup experience and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Familiarity with SQL and data processing algorithms.



Qualifications


  • Experience: Extensive experience in software development with a focus on compiler optimization and design.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership in managing technical teams.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of compiler technologies, programming languages, and processor architectures (e.g., RISCV, ARM).
  • Specialized Knowledge: Expertise in tools like LLVM, Clang, and the GNU Toolchain, with a deep understanding of compiler internals and runtime environments.



You will play a pivotal role in advancing compiler optimizations that directly impact the processing of Big Data pipelines at scale. Your contributions will help power data infrastructure capable of handling tens of petabytes daily.
