The Position

The team is seeking an experienced aerodynamicist to join our aerodynamics department in Oxfordshire. This role is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to advance their career and contribute to the performance of future race cars.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop forward-thinking aerodynamic concepts using advanced tools and technologies, delivering your vision through rigorous testing.
  • Mentor junior aerodynamicists, providing guidance on skill development and work improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing processes within the aerodynamics department.
  • Work with your team to identify necessary tools and technologies to accelerate development.
  • Assist in planning and executing Wind Tunnel runs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze and report on CFD and Wind Tunnel results to establish robust aerodynamic solutions.
  • Maintain positive relationships across departments and the wider Williams team through clear communication and information sharing.


Ideal Candidate Qualifications:


  • Previous experience working in aerodynamics within a Formula 1 team.
  • Proficiency in CFD and Wind Tunnel techniques, with advanced understanding of aerodynamic fundamentals.
  • Skilled in using CAD and CFD software.
  • Ability to drive outcomes under strict deadlines using problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in comprehensive analysis of results, correlation investigations, and innovative use of data.
  • Strong influential ability to get buy-in and drive collaboration across the departments.
  • Willingness to question and improve current methods and theories.


This role requires professional Motorsport experience to be considered.
