DNA Recruit is working with a renowned Brand Experience Agency seeking an experienced Design Director to lead the creative direction of their multi-faceted 3D built environment projects. You will collaborate with high-profile clients, managing and delivering exceptional work across various sectors. Reporting to the Executive Creative Director, you’ll drive creative excellence, shaping spaces that exceed client expectations.
Design/rendering experience required: Cinema4D, Twin Motion, Rhino and VectorWorks
About the Role:
As the Design Director, you will oversee the studio’s 3D built environment work, ensuring alignment with business and brand strategies while nurturing long-term client relationships. You’ll spearhead the creative direction and execution of world-class projects for blue-chip clients, particularly in interior, exhibition, experiential, and installation design.
Role Responsibilities:
- Creative Direction: Lead the studio’s creative output across 3D built environment projects, ensuring innovation and excellence.
- Client Management: Professionally present creative ideas to clients, consistently exceeding their expectations.
- Strategy Alignment: Collaborate with the Strategy Director to align creative work with business, brand, and audience objectives.
- New Business Development: Participate in new business pitches, developing project proposals and identifying new opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and coach creative talent, fostering personal growth and ensuring successful project outcomes.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, managing deadlines, budgets, and resources to deliver outstanding results.
- Industry Expertise: Stay updated on design trends, continually exploring new opportunities to grow the agency’s expertise.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Design Expertise: Proven experience in delivering top-tier work across 3D built environments, including interior, exhibition, and experiential design.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a passion for guiding creative teams and ensuring their success.
- Client Relations: Skilled in building and maintaining long-term client relationships through innovative, high-quality work.
- Presentation Skills: Confident and polished in delivering presentations to both internal and external audiences.
- Team Development: Committed to mentoring and developing the creative team to achieve their personal and project goals.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrates analytical abilities and a solution-driven approach to design challenges.
- Multi-tasking: Capable of juggling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
