What you鈥檒l be doing: Working in a team alongside an experienced category manager, purchasing soft drinks and alcohol categories across the TRG Group


Sourcing and Procurement:

  • Craft and execute category strategies that make costs and supplier performance soar.
  • Negotiate to secure unbeatable prices and terms with suppliers.

Supplier Management:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships, scout and onboard new suppliers and keep an eye on supplier performance and address issues ASAP.

Contract Negotiation and Management:

  • Master the art of contract negotiation to ensure optimal terms, pricing, and service levels.
  • Manage contracts, ensuring compliance and handling renewals and amendments

Cost Control:

  • Implement strategies to tackle and control product inflation.
  • Find new sourcing opportunities and maintain cost efficiency.
  • Dive into regular spend analysis to keep the budget on track and uncover improvement areas.

Project Management:

  • Lead procurement projects, ensuring they wrap up successfully and on time.

Risk Management:

  • Develop robust contingency plans to handle supply chain disruptions like a champ.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs, keep senior management in the loop with regular updates and reports on procurement activities and outcomes.

Sustainable Sourcing:

  • Be the green champion, developing strategies to source sustainable products.
  • Ensure our suppliers are on board with our sustainability standards.

Brand Development:

  • Support brand and menu development by sourcing innovative and exciting products.
  • Work closely with marketing and development teams to bring our brand vision to life.


Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor鈥檚 degree or equivalent.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CIPS) is highly desirable.
  • Experience:
  • Proven track record in strategic purchasing or category management.
  • Ideal experience of working with major branded drinks manufacturers and/or wholesalers.


Skills:

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels, including senior management.
