At Altrad Babcock, our Major Projects division is experiencing tremendous growth, and we are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Renfrew. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will cover all aspects of Quantity Surveying, along with any other key duties as required. This post is primarily based at our Renfrew office, but some flexibility will be required. This role may involve site visits throughout the UK to ensure exposure to a wide range of disciplines and contracting methodology.
As our new Quantity Surveyor, you will produce monthly cost reports that meet project timescales. You will be comfortable identifying cost control measures to aid costs profiling and use cost databases, financial systems, historical data, and trend analysis to review and interpret cost information to assist decision making by senior leaders.
Backed by a degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying and previous experience of the construction industry, our ideal candidate will have knowledge of NEC4. You will have demonstrable experience of working in a major project environment and understand servicing cost management requirements on medium to large sized projects within the construction industry 1m – 100m.
The successfully candidate will be team oriented with the ability to work closely with peers and teams and have significant knowledge or qualification within a related industry.
