The Role

The role of Test Analyst will work as a part of a team of Analysts to manage detailed UAT and functional testing of Argentex’s comprehensive in-house built CRM, execution, settlements and pricing platform.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver structured testing methodologies for both internal and client-facing products.
  • Support developers with effective and targeted testing of new functionality, as well as more generalised regression testing.
  • Engage with the business to champion multi-team involvement in User Acceptance Testing and signoff, including creating test scopes and supervising the creation of test cases.
  • Ensure visibility of test progress and outcomes (via project management tools e.g. Azure DevOps or Jira)
  • Select and implement automated UI test frameworks (e.g. Cypress or Selenium) where appropriate and beneficial to reduce manual steps.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g. morning standups, sprint planning, refinement sessions, sprint retrospectives etc).
  • Develop and execute both manual and automated front end test plans as well as create and maintain relevant test data.
  • Quality assurance


Skills, Knowledge & Behaviours

Must have:

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with an ability to engage with business users and software developers alike.
  • Understanding of Agile testing including TDD, BDD and CD.
  • Risk focused; ability to evaluate and mitigate the various risks associated with the business environment and the project delivery.
  • Some experience of automated UI testing frameworks (e.g. Cypress or Selenium)
  • Delivery focused and able to meet deadlines, happy to challenge and prioritise appropriately.
  • Demonstrable ability to produce detailed test cases and documentation.
  • Experience with project management or ticket tracking tools e.g. JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  • Critical thinking, keen eye for detail, problem solving.
  • At least 12 months’ practical experience in the same, or a similar, role.


Nice to have:

  • Technical capability – not required to a high level, but a stand-out candidate would understand relational databases and the ability to query them with SQL or visual tools such as tableau.
  • FX markets experience – spot, forward and options.
  • Understanding of payment flows and SWIFT.
  • Experience using Postman.
  • ISTQB Certified (Level 1).
  • Understanding of testing design patterns such as the page object model.
