A modern, stylish and innovative lifestyle brand based in the Greater Manchester area is looking to recruit a National Account Manager to manage and grow the relationships with their existing retail customers, and identify new opportunities to fast-track their growth. Still a young business and a challenger brand in their field, they've experienced enormous success in a very short time and the road ahead is rich with opportunities, hence the person who joins them will be part of this new and exciting chapter. The job holder will be based in their modern offices 4 days per week, with a day of home / remote working.

About the role

Reporting to the Sales Director, this will be a high-profile role that is as varied as it is challenging, and thus you will have responsibility for Business Development in the retail and distribution channels, Account Management of one or more of their larger UK and international retail accounts, as well as the execution of Joint Business Plans to drive growth via the design and delivery of the Promotion and Pricing Strategy. You will work alongside the NPD and marketing teams to help grow brand visibility, drive retail sales and advise on opportunities to develop the range and bring new products to market. Being part of a small team, you will also be heavily involved in Data and Insight Analysis as well as work closely with the finance and operations teams to develop sales forecasts.

About the Person

To be considered for this unique and challenging role, you will have experience in a 'classic', retail facing National Account Management role (NAM, BDM, Commercial Manager et al) in the FMCG or Consumer Durables arena. Alternatively, it could suit a Buyer from a Retail background with direct buying experience in the health and beauty sector. You will have a proven track record of success in managing and delivering commercial targets, and enjoy working in a small team where you will be a true FMCG 'allrounder', able to adapt to shifting priorities and able to thrive in an environment where you will be very hands-on and where no 2 days are the same. You will also have a collaborative working style, and be a confident communicator with ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
