UI Designer 6 month FTC working with a leading global educational publisher. The role will be responsible for the design of, on brand, user experiences across a breadth of website types; online products, corporate websites, social websites etc


The role will be responsible for:


• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to development

• Deliver projects set by Lead UI Designer

• Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks and design for the multi-device web, in collaboration with Lead UI designer

• Ensure accessibility standards and SEO are a key element of design decisions, establish and promote design/style guidelines, best practices and standards across all products and platforms.

• Create working prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas, present and provide rationale behind decisions and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders

• Conduct user research, as and when required and evaluate user feedback to make best UI decisions.

• Consolidate and deliver well maintained design assets over to development with clear instructions where required

• Provide guidance and advice to other members of the team in UI Design principles ensuring that all online design related output adheres to best practices and brand guidelines.

• Keep up to date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.


The successful candidate will need to possess:


• Proven UI experience within a corporate or publishing brand.

• Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio with strong skills in Sketch,Figma, Adobe CC, prototyping and wire-framing tools.

• Working knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively

• Good knowledge of Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

• Experience of working with/managing external design resources


The company operates a flexible working model requiring 1-2 days per week in their central London office and the rest remote working. Salary is £32-33k pro rata plus benefits, start asap.
