About the Role:

We are working with a fast-growing company in the conveyancing sector, assisting them in their search for an IT Operations Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT professional to take ownership of IT operations, ensuring robust infrastructure, security, and system performance. As a key part of the team, you will be responsible for managing IT strategy, optimising workflows, and supporting the company's rapid expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage technical teams, including technical support and DevOps engineers, particularly in scaling SaaS platforms.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies to support business growth.
  • Manage cloud-based services and SaaS applications with extensive hands-on experience in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, EFS, Lambda, ECS, and CloudFormation.
  • Provide IT support to internal teams, troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance IT processes and systems.
  • Lead vendor management, procurement, and IT budgeting.
  • Establish and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Scale SaaS platforms to accommodate growing user bases, data volumes, and transaction loads.
  • Implement and maintain microservices and serverless architectures, with a strong understanding of API development.
  • Utilise modern DevOps practices and tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Align technical decisions with business objectives, demonstrating strong commercial acumen and an understanding of ROI.
  • Effectively manage projects and stakeholders, utilising tools like Jira and Confluence for documentation and collaboration.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, or IT leadership.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services and Linux-based technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing, security, compliance, and data protection regulations.
  • Experience scaling SaaS platforms and managing microservices and serverless architectures.
  • Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools for automation and deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Preferred certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer.
