Head of Business Intelligence – West London - £85,000


Description -

We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Head of Business Intelligence (BI) to join my clients team and lead the BI department. As the Head of BI, you will play a crucial role in harnessing the power of data and analytics to drive business insights and inform strategic decision-making. This position requires a strong combination of technical expertise and leadership skills to effectively manage the BI team and drive the development and implementation of BI initiatives.


Responsibilities -

  • Oversee the entire BI function and lead a team of BI professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.
  • Develop and execute the company's BI strategy, ensuring that it aligns with the overall business objectives and contributes to organizational growth.
  • Identify and assess the company's data needs, and collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize data requirements.
  • Design and implement data models, data structures, and data visualization solutions to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality BI solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of BI tools and solutions, troubleshooting any issues that arise and implementing enhancements as needed.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in BI technologies, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization.


Requirements -

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a BI function, preferably in the computer software industry.
  • Strong technical skills in data analysis, data modeling, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
  • Proficiency in SQL and other programming languages commonly used in data analysis and BI.
  • Deep understanding of database management systems, data integration techniques, and ETL processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
