We are delighted to be recruiting for a private clinic based in Windsor. The company are looking for a friendly and professional Medical Secretary to join the team to support the running of the organisation. To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the team. Duties can include but are not limited to, the processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner, liaising with team members, including the use of e.clinic and EPR.


Role Overview:

This is a pivotal role in the running of the administration of the medical service so that it provides a professional streamlined service to patients in a professional and methodical way. Ensuring appointments are offered, recorded and maintained in a logical manner. Assist with putting systems in place for improvements to the service as/when required. Liaise with the Admin Team and Clinicians on an on-going basis.


Key Responsibilities:

Provide admin/secretarial assistance to 2/3 Clinicians as follows:

· Diary management

· Telephone calls/referrals/cancellations/amendments of appointments etc

· Producing letters, reports and associated documentation

· Process requests for information

· Update patient database i.e. e.clinic/EPR/Word

· Type psychiatric reports / letters

· Liaise with Clinicians re repeat prescription for patients & send out

· Log time worked for each Clinician on Click Time

As a member of the Admin Team you will assist with:

· Other typing (i.e copy typing/audio) for other Clinicians

· Picking up overflow telephone calls

· Help with reception cover from time to time


Essential Skills and Qualities:

· A friendly and professional approach to both patients and clinicians

· Strong communication and organisational skills

· Competency around computer systems, including Word

· The ability to work in a team and alone

· Excellent typing skills

· Effective time management
