Electrical Quality Assurance / Quality Control Team Lead in London UK.

MTM have an exciting new opportunity for a site based Electrical Quality Control Team Lead to join our growing team reporting to the QA Manager.


The Role...

The successful candidate will be part of the current QA/QC team responsible for inspection and handover of cable installations. The role will be based on a Data Center project within London UK.

MTM Engineering was established in 1997 and is an Electrical Engineering company that specialises in MV & LV electrical cable installation, termination services, and containment solutions for a wide range of construction projects. Our expertise spans across industries such as Data Centres and Pharmaceutical throughout Europe and beyond.


Responsibilities...

  • Complete inspection of MTM works on cable install, termination and Glanding of LV and MV cables,
  • Maintain inspection records of MTM works using bespoke MTM APP and BIM platforms,
  • Liaise with Client / Electrical contractor on submission of QA Inspection records in a timely manner in line with yellow tag dates,
  • Close out queries on equipment with MTM team and Client which may impact on MTM progress,
  • Work with the QA and Construction team to implement corrective and preventative actions in line with snag lists from MTM bespoke QA App system,
  • Work with the MTM construction team to communicate best practices, mock-ups, first of kinds to ensure consistent quality is achieved,
  • Assist in completion of monthly and weekly QA audits and toolbox talks as required,
  • Manage email and telephone communications as required,
  • Ensure that QA activities are tracked to completion to achieve project deadlines,


The Person...

  • Have 3 or more years experience working in a similar role
  • Self-motivated to ensure that project deadlines are achieved
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and at times pressurised environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
  • Ability to support, manage, lead and enthuse others
