Role Description

The role is for a full-time Risk Surveyor (Construction Quality), based from home and travelling to sites throughout your region. Working as part of the Q Technical Team, as a Risk Surveyor, you will be responsible for running your own projects, conducting daily site visits to carry out inspections on construction sites, reviewing the works and assessing the risk on behalf of the underwriter, and providing comprehensive reports via our bespoke reporting software.


Key Attributes

  • Relevant qualification & professional memberships desirable, but not essential if you have significant experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK Building Regulations and construction practices, technology & legislation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • IT literate, experience of Microsoft Office and comfortable using mobile app technologies.


Important Information

  • Full, clean driving licence is essential.
  • You will need to be physically able to move around a construction site safely, climbing ladders, scaffolding and loft spaces and frequently working at height.
