Import Coordinator - Tilbury, Essex

An Import Coordinator is needed to effectively manage and coordinate import shipments for a top Essex freight forwarding and logistics firm.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Oversee the complete import procedure for goods shipments by air, sea and land.
  • To guarantee on-time delivery, coordinate with foreign agents, vendors, and carriers.
  • Manage customs clearance paperwork and make sure UK import laws are followed.
  • Update clients on shipments and address any problems by communicating with them.
  • Create and examine import paperwork, such as packing lists, invoices, and bills of lading.
  • Discuss prices with haulers, shipping companies, and other service providers.
  • Track and keep an eye on shipments, taking prompt action to resolve any delays or interruptions.
  • Provide effective import solutions by collaborating closely with the operations and sales teams.
  • Ensure that the company's CRM and logistics system have proper records.
  • To guarantee import conformity, communicate with HMRC and other regulatory agencies.
  • Determine where processes need to be improved in order to increase productivity and cut expenses.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in supply chain management, freight forwarding, or import logistics.
  • Strong familiarity with international shipping laws, tariffs, and customs processes in the UK.
  • Outstanding organisational abilities and the capacity to multitask in a hectic setting.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and logistical applications.
