We are looking for a Senior Shopify Developer to join our growing team.


This role will focus on enhancing and maintaining our custom Shopify Plus ecosystem while supporting other internal and external projects.


You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and innovative solutions tailored to our business needs.


Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable code for Shopify Plus, including custom themes and apps.
  • Develop and enhance our Hydrogen-based B2B application.
  • Implement and maintain Shopify Checkout extensions.
  • Work with our AWS Lambda API to handle webhooks and integrations.
  • Optimize frontend performance for Online Store 2.0 (B2C) themes.
  • Ensure a seamless integration between Shopify stores and backend services.
  • Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure performance, responsiveness, and security.
  • Collaborate with internal and third-party teams on infrastructure and development projects.
  • Continue to improve and maintain systems post-deployment.

Requirements (Must-Haves)

  • Proven experience developing for Shopify, including custom Shopify apps and themes.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or React Testing Library, with experience writing unit and integration tests.
  • Strong experience with frameworks like React and Remix.
  • Familiarity with backend technologies, including Node.js and database ORMs such as Knex.
  • Expertise in using version control systems like Git.
  • Solid understanding of modern front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS, and Liquid.
  • Knowledge of Shopify's API ecosystem (Storefront API, Admin API, GraphQL, REST).
  • Experience with cloud architectures such as AWS.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Ruby on Rails and experience with Solidus or other ecommerce platforms.
  • Familiarity with payment gateway integrations and checkout customizations.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining cloud-based solutions (AWS Lambda).
  • Experience integrating external tools and systems with Shopify (e.g., ERP, CDP, analytics tools).
  • Experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Cypress or Playwright, particularly for testing Shopify applications or custom React components.
  • Contribution to open-source projects or active participation in the Shopify developer community.
  • Understanding of SEO and performance optimization strategies for ecommerce platforms
