We are seeking an exceptional and experienced General Manager to lead the operations of a distinguished and historic venue in the heart of London. This landmark venue is renowned for hosting a wide range of high-profile events, from formal banquets and corporate functions to private receptions and cultural gatherings. The setting is steeped in tradition, offering a unique blend of heritage charm and contemporary service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring a consistently high standard of service and presentation.
- Oversee the planning and execution of events, working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver seamless experiences.
- Maintain the traditional values and protocols of the venue while implementing modern hospitality practices.
- Develop and lead a dedicated front-of-house and operations team, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in managing prestigious venues, livery halls, or similar traditional/historic settings.
- A strong background in high-end hospitality, with an acute attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in customer service.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust with stakeholders and clients from a variety of backgrounds.
- Calm under pressure, highly organised, and able to deliver on multiple high-stakes events simultaneously.
- Deep understanding of traditional formal service, etiquette, and event protocol.
