What We're Looking For

You should be adept at optimizing machining operations to ensure precision and efficiency. Since this role involves working at our Leamington Spa facility and visiting customer sites nationwide, a full UK driving license.

While experience in robotic programming is beneficial, it is not mandatory—we're looking for a professional eager to expand their skills in automation. This position offers hands-on experience with industrial robots, providing opportunities to integrate CNC machinery with robotic automation and advance within the field of smart manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and set up CNC machinery to achieve peak performance.
  • Configure and program industrial robots to integrate seamlessly with CNC processes.
  • Assemble and fine-tune full automation systems, ensuring smooth operation.
  • Conduct final system tests and customer approvals to confirm performance.
  • Work with in-house software to synchronize CNC and robotic automation.
  • Troubleshoot and refine automation processes to address unforeseen challenges.
  • Install and commission automation systems at customer locations.
  • Provide technical training on CNC programming, robotics, and automation systems.
  • Validate machining and automation workflows for customer approval.
  • Offer continued technical support, diagnosing and optimizing automation systems in the field.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in Fanuc programming.
  • Familiarity with Siemens or Heidenhain controls is an advantage.
  • A time-served engineer with a minimum of five years' experience in CNC machining applications.
  • Recognized engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience with 5-axis machining centers and multi-tasking turning centers is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Fusion 360 is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional approach.
  • Full UK driving license (no more than three penalty points).

Career Development & Benefits

  • Gain hands-on experience in robotics, CNC programming, PLCs, and automation software.
  • Work with cutting-edge automation technologies and advance your expertise in robotics-integrated CNC solutions.
  • Be part of a company committed to employee growth, offering structured career progression.
  • Competitive salary, 25 days of annual leave (including Bank Holidays), and comprehensive benefits.
  • Additional perks include life assurance, private health insurance, gym and retail discounts, and more.
  • Company car provided.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a CNC expert eager to expand into automation and robotics, working with the latest technology to drive innovation in modern manufacturing.
