Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer with solid networking and AWS infrastructure expertise. This role is pivotal in leading our technical team and enhancing our critical infrastructure to support our rapid growth.


Employment Type:

  • Contract or Permanent: Open to both contractors and individuals seeking a permanent role.
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid role with the flexibility of primarily remote work.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor our small team of infrastructure/DevOps engineers, overseeing their work to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Infrastructure Enhancement: Improve and optimise our critical infrastructure that supports a vast network of users and servers across multiple AWS accounts.
  • Innovative Projects: Play a key role in shaping and executing an exciting roadmap of future changes, involving the modernisation of our infrastructure and the adoption of new, cutting-edge technologies.
  • Security Integration: Ensure all infrastructure developments and network solutions adhere to the highest security standards, collaborating closely with our cybersecurity team to deliver secure and compliant systems.
  • Collaborative Transition: Work closely with our existing Technical Architect as they transition into a cybersecurity role, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and continued innovation.
  • Network Maintenance & Development: Maintain our current network infrastructure while executing a roadmap of improvements to enhance performance and reliability.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in networking and AWS infrastructure, particularly with Windows Server environments.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Fortinet firewalls is highly desirable.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage technical teams effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
