You'll be working on real cases, doing real work for real clients from day one. You'll be given all the responsibility you can handle, including running parts of cases and meeting with clients. 


Qualifications and Experience Requirements 

We need to see a strong record of academic and extra-curricular achievement. You must have completed the LPC with a Business Law or M&A module and Commercial Property module. We accept degrees in any discipline (minimum 2:2 or equivalent) and we look for a minimum of BBB (or equivalent) at 'A' level. 


Duties

- Open and close files, manage file and collate documentation

- Draft basic letters

- Draft/complete simple client forms, money laundering and checks

- Arrange client appointments

- Make general calls

- Provide initial quotes and log all new enquiries

- Be familiar with Land Registry forms and procedures

- Send and manage regular chasers

- Obtaining title documents

- Submitting searches

- Preparing Stamp Duty forms

- Preparing completion statements and invoices;

- Preparing all necessary accounts forms and understanding client ledgers

- Preparing Land Registry applications and dealing with requisitions

- Producing first drafts of contracts, transfer deeds and leases (with fee earner guidance)

- Producing replies to Commercial Property Standard Enquiries

- Dealing with pre‐completion requisitions


Key Requirements 

- Completion of the Business Law or Mergers and Acquisitions and Commercial Property module on the LPC 

- Previous paralegal experience

- Ability to analyse legal documents 

- High working standards 

- Excellent writing skills 

- Strong attention to detail 

- Excellent organisational and problem solving skills 

- Ability to confidently deal with demanding situations, people and requirements 

- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and online research tools 

- Flexible and efficient work practices and ability to adapt style as required 

- Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines and manage own workload 

- Good communication skills, including the ability to liaise with people across the business who  are in multiple countries 

- Ability to work well in both a team and individually 

- Keen to develop and use initiative
