Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Central London

Hybrid: 2 days in the office 3 days WFH

Salary: £35,000 + Corporate Bonus


An exciting not-for-profit are looking for a Accounts Assistant to join their London team. This role would be suitable for someone who’s looking for a broad role within a Finance team. Someone who’s experienced within credit control, accounts receivables, cashflow management, financial reporting within an SME. This role would allow the successful candidate excellent exposure to the businesses CFO, as well as broad exposure to all areas of a Finance function.


Responsibilities:

  • the Finance Manager in providing financial reports and status updates to provide accurate and timely financial and management information to directors, the CEO and managers.
  • information from the financial systems to ensure its accuracy and availability for translation into the required format on a timely basis.
  • invoices in a timely manner to comply with the Institute’s financial processes and agreed SLAs.
  • monitor the Institute’s cash-flow and aged debtors to ensure any potential shortages in cash resources are progressed with the appropriate member of staff and communicated to the Finance Manager on a timely basis.
  • manage debt collection, highlighting any issues to the Finance Manager and where appropriate to the relevant Director, to maximise collection of revenues and reduced aged debt.
  • and reconcile employee’s expenses (cash & credit card) on a monthly basis and enter on to the Institute’s accounting system in a timely manner to ensure reporting timescales are met.
  • and prepare statutory payments to meet required standards.
  • and record required income to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
  • payable: promptly and accurately process authorised invoices and prepare monthly payment batches for the Finance Manager to ensure deadlines and supplier SLAs are met.
