Senior Demand and Supply Planner
About
A fast-growing e-commerce brand focused on providing innovative and high-quality home products. With a Pan-European presence and partnerships with major online retailers like Amazon, there is a strong commitment to delivering value and convenience to customers. We are looking for a skilled Senior Demand Planner to help optimise our supply chain, meet customer needs, and support our growth goals.
Role Summary
The Senior Demand Planner will play a critical role in managing demand and supply planning, ensuring optimal stock levels across multiple European markets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in e-commerce within durable consumer goods, specifically with Amazon's 1P program, and has managed Pan-European responsibilities. We seek someone hands-on, ideally from a smaller business environment, with strong forecasting, inventory management, and planning skills.
Responsibilities
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts to align with sales and promotional plans.
- Work closely with Sales Managers to obtain and implement quarterly promotional plans within demand forecasts.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, highlight potential stock outages, and ensure non-promoted SKUs are managed accordingly.
- Lead dropship demand planning activities, including forecasting and stock ordering.
Inventory Management & Stock Optimisation
- Optimize container usage for cost efficiency and ensure smooth customs clearance processes.
- Monitor and report on inventory health, providing SLOB (slow-moving and obsolete stock) listings to Sales Managers to support their KPIs.
- Maintain stock-on-hand KPIs, manage goods receipt notes (GRNs), and provide ongoing dashboard reporting for clear visibility of stock levels and status.
Product & Data Management
- Oversee new product data sourcing and ensure accurate updates to master data in Power BI and in 3PL systems.
- Work with the logistics team to manage incoming stock and advise on container unloading KPIs.
- Ensure optimal packaging size for cost and storage efficiency.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Coordinate with Sales Managers (3) and the logistics team to ensure timely stock flow and alignment on demand plans.
- Address any product-related issues with suppliers and manage credits with suppliers in China where applicable.
- Support direct import planning activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve forecasting accuracy and stock availability.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Senior Demand Planner within an e-commerce business, preferably in durable consumer goods.
- Strong knowledge of Amazon 1P and experience managing demand planning across multiple EU markets.
- Proficiency in demand planning and inventory tools, including IIBP (Integrated Business Planning) and Power BI.
- Hands-on, self-sufficient approach with a background in smaller business settings where end-to-end ownership of tasks is required.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with Sales, Logistics, and Finance teams.
Why
- Opportunity to work in a growing, innovative company in the e-commerce space with a well-regarded product line.
- A collaborative, agile team environment with a commitment to professional development.
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
