Senior Project Manager

I have an exciting Senior Project Management opportunity with a Healthcare Supply chain client to come in and support enterprise wide projects.


The Senior PM will operate across different workstreams on multiple Medium to Large budget projects at a senior level whilst remaining very hands on.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Application of relevant project change control mechanisms, including the transition process through Service Introduction into operations.
  • Ability to provide leadership and focus for the project teams.
  • Experience of having shaped business cases and delivering real benefits to an organisation.
  • Ability to manage complex projects in a complex environment, potentially including applying remedial measures to project delivery.
  • Ability to adapt project processes to optimise project delivery.
  • Has delivered process re-engineering in a business context.
  • Ability to negotiate timelines and define delivery metrics around projects.
  • Ability to identify and manage key stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop mitigation and contingency plans associated with significant project risk.
  • Shows a high level of planning aptitude.
  • Can derive insight from a variety of sources and synthesise these to set clear direction.


Essential Requirements:


  • Professional accredited, preferred qualifications to include; PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master.
  • Demonstrable experience of having managed and delivered projects successfully from end to end, applying and advising project governance frameworks.
  • IT delivery experience. Understands how to talk the language of enterprise IT and engage with IT professionals to achieve project goals. Understands the software delivery lifecycle, the concepts of a technology stack and has delivered IT projects successfully.
  • Business change and people. Understands the impact that change has on individuals and can work to help embed change in a way that feels positive and focuses on the benefits change can bring. Well versed in Change Management techniques.
  • Demonstrable experience of having managed and delivered projects successfully from end to end, applying and advising project governance frameworks.
  • Understanding of project cost accounting and a good understanding of Capex vs Opex budgetary structures.
  • Ability to choose and deploy the appropriate approaches for the projects being delivered, flexing the approach within the boundaries of governance.
