Role description:

We’re excited to be expanding and have a fantastic opportunity to join our growing team based in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.


We’re adding an affiliate Psychiatrist into our team to specifically provide consultancy services and clinical input on client specific cases.

This role would be ad-hoc in nature, initially providing 1 day per week support with hours spread across the week as need arises.


This role is remote based with occasional travel to our client offices in central London, Birmingham, and Milton Keynes. There may also be broader UK travel to support the growth of treatment networks .


This is a brand-new role and part of an exciting and revolutionary proposition development to ensure gold standard employee mental wellbeing services for our key client. The client office location is a premium employee space with exceptional employee wellness services.

The role will provide ad-hoc clinical input and support working in collaboration with our clients Medical Director, Lyra’s Clinical Lead Psychologist, onsite counsellors and remote counsellor team. Specifically supporting our key client contract, clinical delivery and proposition development ensuring best in class clinical service delivery.


In the role, you’ll be;

· Providing consultation on complex case reviews as required

· Work within both Lyra and client specific MDT meetings/discussions

· Supporting on clinical case escalations

· Influence and provide Psychiatry input for bespoke clinical pathways to ensure clinically viable and aligned with strategic direction

· Support and advise on robust clinical governance for bespoke services as required

· Consulting, advising, and working with a wide range of presenting issues and severity – acting as senior point of clinical escalation

· Assist in the development and management of a direct access network via the client’s PMI and additional services

· Consulting, advising, and assisting implementation of clinically appropriate treatment plans

· Working with our client’s Medical Director and broader wellness team to support any client related requests, such as, presentations, delivery of programming, support with mental health strategy, and providing independent advice on complex ER/HR cases. In line with Lyra’s managerial consultation confidentiality parameters unless appropriate consent has been obtained.

· Attending on-site clinical governance stakeholder meetings to represent Lyra health in collaboration with Clinical Lead Psychologist

Responsibilities of the role:

· Provide Psychiatry clinical input for Lyra’s Workplace Mental Health service

· Act as a point of clinical consultation for clinical, therapeutic assessments to determine the service user needs and implement appropriate clinical care plan working collaboratively with Lyra’s Clinical Lead Psychologist

· Accurately capture all information on the clinical database pertinent to the clinical management of the case

· Consult and adhere to all clinical and operational protocols, standards, service levels and procedures

· Work collaboratively with our internal clinical teams and external stakeholders/providers to ensure effective clinical care. Escalating and supporting cases accordingly

· Assist in the growth of Lyra’s affiliate clinical network of counsellors and direct access network via the clients other clinical services

· Advise on clinical governance for Lyra services


Qualifications and Experience:

· Essential Background/Qualifications:

· Clinical senior leadership experience

· MRCPsych

· Full GMC Licence to practise

· Minimum 5 years post qualification experience working in NHS and Private settings

. Evidenced experience of curating and implementing clinical care pathways

· Experience of working with a broad range of psychological health and workplace related issues. Should include supporting neurodiversity in the workplace and managing triage of acute cases

· Knowledge and understanding of workplace mental health - including EAP, OH and additional clinical services to support workplace wellness and how these interlink

· Experience of working in a corporate environment – understanding the pressures and strains on the workforce

· Experience of working in high pressure, time limited environments

· Experience of working with Psychologists and Counsellors and understanding a solution focussed or goal oriented therapeutic modality

· Experience in working with high-risk cases such as suicide, abuse, mania and psychosis

· Experience of working in a multidisciplinary clinical environment

· Proven ability to build robust working relationships and effective stakeholder management skills.

· Computer literacy & ability to maximise efficiency to type clinical notes whilst conducting clinical work

· Excellent people skills and ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

· Passion and drive to work in a fast paced, agile environment to help shape and build a successful onsite provision

· Ability to work within a team and effectively collaborate to safeguard clinical care

· Strong leadership skills
