So, what’s the job?

  • You'll need a high level of work with key business stakeholders to understand the current operational processes and control environment whilst maintaining strong engagement
  • You'll assist in mapping out and document process flows based on walkthrough outputs
  • You'll be required to diagnose gaps between current and target state (including ensuring all relevant obligations are covered) and document control objectives
  • You'll monitor and advise on outstanding actions, helping drive them to completion
  • You'll deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external customers within company guidelines and ensure all contact and interactions are of the highest standard (written/phone/face-to-face), to communicate clearly and appropriately to all stakeholders


And what are we looking for?


  • You'll ideally you will have have at least 3 years’ experience in financial services industry (preferably in operational risk, or internal controls assurance) or in Audit (preferably experience in assurance or governance risk & controls)
  • You’ll be experienced working in an agile fashion, being comfortable with new processes, products, and stakeholders
  • You’ll come from a financial services regulatory environment, having previously worked with: Corporations Act, Insurance Contracts Act, General insurance code of practice; and roles of licensees, representatives and regulators
  • You’ll be experienced in giving presentations to senior management and have Microsoft Office skills (inc. Excel, Power point, Visio and Word)
  • You’ll have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and be organised, systematic and thorough
  • You’ll have a relevant qualification in law, accountancy, business, commerce or equivalent
