The Role

This role is well suited to an Employment Partner with an established network, who is seeking to build out a leading Employment team in the Scottish market.

With highly ranked Employment practices spread across the UK, work taken on by the firm covers a plethora of employment issues, from providing general HR advice and redundancy negotiations to supporting strategic projects, high-profile tribunal work, TUPE, collective matters and much more.

Clients are prestigious and large-scale, making for a complex, engaging and fulfilling workload where you will develop unparalleled expertise in employment issues.

You would be in a position to level up your practice with significant internal referral potential from their existing and prestigious national clientele, whilst also developing and building out your own network. Further, you would be empowered to hire lawyers for your team and lead the strategic vision of the department as a whole.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Is an experienced Employment lawyer operating at Partner (Salaried or Equity) level or who is ready to step up
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Manage a varied caseload with a range of clients.
  • Has strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients and colleagues alike
  • Is well organised and can prioritise efficiently
  • Can manage and support junior lawyers
