Job Description

  • Creating and delivering commodity strategies including CAPEX, Packaging, Logistics, and Consumables.
  • Directly managing indirect spend in the Midlands & managing a business unit of 1 remote head.
  • Commercially managing the supplier base day-to-day, including cost reduction.
  • Maximising profitability through idea generation on commercial or process wins.
  • Managing supplier delivery issues and negotiating claims.


Senior Buyer

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • Strong previous experience in an indirect purchasing role.
  • Experience buying services and CAPEX.
  • Ability to travel to other sites across the UK – maximum travel requirement of one night away every week.
  • While not essential, experience of indirect purchasing within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be advantageous.
