Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Completion Engineer, based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for performing all duties with due regard to the health, safety of self, others and of the environment in which they are undertaken and in compliance with company procedure and standard and regulatory requirements.
* Prepare completion and workover procedures for use on platform and subsea wells in line with the Wells Standard, and other Wells group procedures.
* Prepare time and cost estimates (TCEs) for completion and workover operations in line with the company procedures.
* Conduct tubing stress analysis (TSA) and torque and drag (T&D) modelling for completions using standard industry software (WellCat and WellPlan)
* Prepare and submit necessary WONS applications in a timely manner
* Manage completion related service companies to deliver the planned completion designs in a timely and effective manner.
* Compile end of well documentation to ensure that all relevant completion related technical well information is recorded and stored in accordance with company, partner, and regulatory requirements.
* Attend daily rig calls and provide support to offshore rig team during completion and workover operations.
* Request, review and approve required well/project purchase orders, service orders, and invoices, as per DOA matrix
* Liaise with Well Examiner, as required for compliance with company Well Examination scheme.
* Provide all requested information in a timely manner to support the preparation of any environmental and other regulatory submissions necessary for well/project
* Follow the company MOC procedure for changes in plans, procedures, or equipment
* Challenge existing completion/workover/abandonment practices where new/alternate technology can provide a safety, environmental or operational improvement.
* Implement company and/or industry best practise in all phase of the completion/workover/abandonment project to optimize the integrity, productivity and value of a well to the company and its partners
* Support the Wells Delivery Procedure and the company Stage Gate Process with the generation of the required completion related documents.
* Raise, manage and close out, Non Compliance Reports (NCRs) as per the company procedures for any related completion or workover incidents.
* Support daily cost tracking, and end of well cost and tangible reconciliation activities with detailed information as required by company Cost and Materials Controllers.
* Develop detailed well/project Basis of Design documents for completions and workovers that meet the functional requirements of the subsurface, production and drilling teams.
* Coordinate, and facilitate, any required Complete Well On Paper (CWOP), risk assessments, or other such meetings that are necessary to meet the requirements of the Wells Delivery Procedure (WDP) and/or the Stage Gate Process (ISGP) and effective delivery of the completion or workover operation.
* Act as single point of contact for the offshore rig team for completion related matters during completion/workover/abandonment operations.
* Indirect supervision of offshore completion supervisors on the drilling rig and during periods while onshore between completion/workover/abandonment operations.
Requirements
* Experience in Wells Department of an operator, Well Management Company, or Completion Department of a Service Company.
* Experience of subsea completion and workover operations in the UKCS
* Deepwater completion and well testing/flowback planning/design/execution
* High rate gas well design
* Open hole gravel pack design and operations
* Proven planning, management, and negotiation skills.
* University degree in relevant subject
* Proficient with WellCat, WellPlan and standard Microsoft software packages
* IWCF Well Intervention Pressure Control Level 4 with Subsea Module
* BOSIET
* MIST
* Offshore Medical
