As an Associate Lawyer, your role is pivotal in providing comprehensive legal services related to estate matters, particularly in cases of intestacy. Your responsibilities encompass a wide array of tasks aimed at guiding clients through the complexities of estate administration and planning. The following outlines the specification for this role:


Will Writing: Drafting and advising clients on the creation of wills to ensure their wishes are legally documented and appropriately executed.

Trust and Estate Planning: Developing strategic plans for the management and distribution of assets, including the establishment of trusts to protect and preserve wealth for future generations.

Probate and Estate Administration: Managing the legal process of probate and administering estates in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Lasting Powers of Attorney/Deputyships: Assisting clients in appointing attorneys or deputies to manage their affairs in the event of incapacity, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

Taxation Expertise: Providing guidance on tax implications, including Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax, and implementing strategies to minimise tax liabilities within the framework of the law.

Care Home Planning: Advising clients on long-term care arrangements and developing plans to address care home costs and arrangements.

Agricultural Estates: Specialising in estate planning and administration for agricultural properties, addressing unique challenges and opportunities specific to this sector.

Wealth Management: Offering tailored solutions for wealth preservation and management, including investment strategies and asset protection measures.

Collaboration with Contentious Probate Department: Working closely with the firm's Contentious Probate Department to address any disputes or challenges that may arise in the administration of estates, providing expert guidance and support
