Technical Project Manager (Design Standards & Solutions – OpenRAN)

Location: Berkshire / London / Manchester (Hybrid – 2 days per week in office)

Contract: 3-month rolling

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We're seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead innovation in OpenRAN deployment for the UK market. You'll be responsible for setting, documenting, and maintaining design and delivery standards across radio, energy, transmission, and software. Leading a small team and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you'll drive the onboarding of new products and solutions from concept to live deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team to manage and deliver the onboarding of new telecoms solutions.
  • Define and document technical and delivery standards for OpenRAN deployment.
  • Assess business impacts (cost, delivery, tooling) and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to drive UK-wide OpenRAN deployment.
  • Establish processes and procedures for efficient network deployment.

  • Project Management Expertise – Ability to manage complex tasks with SMEs.
  • Technical Knowledge – Strong understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G RAN systems.
  • Strategic Thinking – Commercial awareness to drive cost efficiencies in OPEX/CAPEX.
  • Collaboration & Leadership – Experience working cross-functionally and managing teams.
  • Communication Skills – Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for stakeholders.

  • Drive process improvements and ensure smooth information sharing.
