What you’ll do

  • Take ownership of the design, implementation, evolution, and execution of the testing strategy for a highly complex and constantly evolving system.
  • Automate the testing strategy where it makes sense using various languages, test tools, or frameworks.
  • Manually test features to ensure they maintain a high standard.
  • Leverage your testing knowledge to influence better software design, promote good engineering practices, bug prevention strategies, testability, security, scalability, reliability, and other advanced quality concepts across complex products.
  • Champion quality, influencing the team to integrate quality into the release pipeline while enhancing productivity by choosing the best test approach for each context.
  • Collaborate with senior technical colleagues to explore and suggest innovative strategic and tactical technical solutions to promote the continuous evolution of the testing ecosystem of your product/platform.
  • Assess and communicate risks and confidence levels to guide team decisions on product release readiness.
  • Partner with other roles to troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the product life cycle.


What a typical day would look like

  • Functionally test items of work based on the acceptance criteria contained in the corresponding JIRA tickets
  • Uncover defects during both functional and regression testing
  • Detail defects in a high standard to ensure a quicker resolution
  • Identify and create robust regression tests 
  • Perform regression testing in lower environments
  • Review production after a release to ensure stability
  • Identify opportunities for automation testing and assist in the creation of automated tests
  • Attend agile ceremonies


What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with work at least 5 years experience within an agile software development environment.
  • Strong background in software testing with proven experience using a multitude of test techniques including functional and non-functional.
  • Experience creating and managing test dashboard for monitoring testing progress and results.
  • Experience creating test plans for customer-facing applications and advanced internal testing
  • Experience with web-related technologies such as Web Services in REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, FTP and Webhooks. 
  • Experience with iPaas, eCommerce, WMS, 3PL or ERP systems preferred
  • Experience with Vue, Postman and database query language (SQL or MySQL) preferred
  • Experience working as a QA in a microservice architecture is preferred.
