The Role:
We’re excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for you to manage key grocery account. Reporting directly to the Category Controller, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of leading UK food brands. In this role, you’ll be responsible for spearheading category development and achieving sustainable value and volume growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong connections with key contacts at Tesco, to support and drive category growth.
- Create strategic recommendations to optimise shelf space and drive sales, ensuring alignment with growth opportunities and tracking share of shelf.
- Partner closely with the sales and account teams to provide valuable insights and foster strong internal relationships for effective collaboration.
- Act as the key driver of our category strategy, representing Tesco’s perspective to guide and influence business decisions.
- Assist with commercial presentations and support new product development within your categories.
- Keep category drivers up-to-date and ensure they are effectively utilized across all relevant teams to maintain a competitive edge.
About You:
We are looking for a commercially savvy Category Professional who thrives on data-driven insights and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong understanding of Category with the ability to swiftly translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Proven ability to influence buyers and merchandisers through compelling, data-driven narratives.
- A deep understanding of how category decisions impact overall business performance, with a focus on delivering sustainable growth.
