About Us

My client is a reputable law firm with offices in Leigh on Sea and Chelmsford, known for expertise in property law. The Conveyancing Department specialises in new build properties, delivering exceptional service to clients purchasing their dream homes. Requirement is for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join our dynamic team and support our growing portfolio of new build transactions.

The Role

As a Conveyancing Assistant, you'll play a key role in managing the conveyancing process for new build properties, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in conveyancing to specialize in a fast-paced, rewarding area of property law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle client inquiries and provide updates throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Manage the full conveyancing lifecycle, from initial instruction to post-completion.
  • Prepare and review legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
  • Liaise with developers, estate agents, and other stakeholders to keep transactions on track.
  • Conduct essential searches and checks, including title, planning, and building regulations.
  • Perform site visits as needed to verify construction progress and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

What We're Looking For

  • 2-3 years of conveyancing experience, ideally within a law firm.
  • Knowledge of property law, with a focus on new build transactions (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with case management systems.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.

Desirable Skills

  • Direct experience with new build conveyancing.
  • Understanding of the local property market in Leigh on Sea or Chelmsford.
