The Opportunity

Our client is a leading renewable energy developer driving the transition to a zero-carbon future. With a strong pipeline of ground-mounted solar farms and commercial rooftop solar projects, they are growing rapidly and seeking a Solicitor to join their legal team.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on complex real estate and renewable energy transactions, playing a key part in securing land and navigating regulatory frameworks to support the development of large-scale solar projects. If you're passionate about sustainability and have real estate expertise within the energy sector, this is an exciting chance to contribute to the UK's renewable energy future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Real Estate Transactions – Handle property acquisitions, leases, sales, and financing for renewable energy projects.
  • Legal & Regulatory Compliance – Advise on land use, planning, and environmental regulations.
  • Contract Negotiation – Draft and negotiate PPAs, joint ventures, and development agreements.
  • Due Diligence – Conduct title investigations, land registration reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with DNOs, landowners, and local authorities to facilitate project development.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Solicitor with experience in real estate law and renewable energy projects.
  • Strong understanding of land acquisition, leases, and energy infrastructure.
  • Commercially minded, with a solutions-focused approach to legal challenges.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • A passion for sustainability and commitment to clean energy.
