You will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of machinery and equipment. The role is hands on and requires strong mechanical and or electrical knowledge and problem solving skills.

Requirements

  • Fault Finding on machines and auxiliaries
  • Ensuring machine maintenance programmes are followed
  • Maintaining and improving housekeeping practices
  • Adhering to company health and safety policies and procedures
  • Monitoring machine quality to ensure high standards are maintained
  • Installation, PPM and reactive maintenance
  • Mechanical/Hydraulics/Pneumatics
  • Fault diagonosis and repair
  • Electrical/PLC troubleshooting
  • Respond to plant breakdowns

Skills:

  • Excellent organisational and time keeping skills
  • Good communicational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a face-paced environment
  • Ability to work alone and under pressure
  • Needs to have a full understanding of their safety and others around them (clean work space)

Position Prerequisites

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machinery operations
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques for troubleshooting mechanical issues
  • Experience reading technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
