About the Role:

As a Senior Power Systems Engineer, your primary focus will be on dynamic modeling of inverter-based resources, with an emphasis on battery energy storage systems using tools like DIgSILENT. You will be instrumental in grid code analysis and stability assessments for utility-scale BESS and hybrid systems that integrate solar PV, contributing to advancements in power system optimization tools.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine dynamic models for BESS.
  • Perform simulation tests to assess model effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with software and hardware teams to support comprehensive battery system modeling.
  • Enhance internal models to streamline product development.
  • Document improvements and new modeling methodologies.
  • Analyze specifications for large-scale energy projects, including thermal, renewable, and storage systems.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in power systems, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in modeling inverter-based resources.
  • Proficiency in tools such as PSCAD and DIgSILENT.
  • Familiarity with Python, and Fortran.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
