Job Title: Senior Project/Land Manager

Location: London


About the Role

Involves managing the development and delivery of utility-scale solar PV and energy storage projects, from site origination through to fully consented and ready-to-build phases. It requires engaging with key stakeholders and overseeing all aspects of the development process, including land acquisition, planning, and grid connection.


Key Responsibilities

Site Origination

  • Evaluate potential sites for solar PV and energy storage projects using mapping tools, feasibility studies, energy yield analysis, and financial assessments.
  • Collaborate with network operators and relevant authorities to identify opportunities for project development.
  • Support the team in identifying and assessing project opportunities.


Project Development

  • Engage with landowners to secure agreements for solar and storage projects.
  • Negotiate contracts, including land agreements and consultancy contracts, ensuring commercial value.
  • Oversee specialist consultants through the planning application process.
  • Manage grid connection processes with network operators.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders such as authorities, consultants, and community representatives, maintaining a professional presence.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, cash flows, and risks, providing regular updates to management.


About You

  • Background in planning, technical/engineering, development, or consultancy, with 5-7 years of project management experience in power or renewable energy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Motivated, flexible, and adept at engaging with colleagues and stakeholders.
