JOB TITLE: Field Service Engineer

JOB PURPOSE: To deliver expert servicing and repair for mobility equipment including beds/ hoists systems


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate should have:


  • NVQ Level 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering and relevant practical experience.
  • Proficiency in LOLER & PUWER regulations.
  • Experience in a medical device environment is advantageous.
  • A valid UK driving licence.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Service Engineer’s key duties will include:


  • Managing a 40-hour work week during core hours from Monday to Friday, including a half-hour lunch break.
  • Participating in a rotational on-call schedule, approximately every 4 weeks, covering Monday through Sunday.
  • Demonstrating clear and effective communication skills.
  • Occasionally assisting with the installation of beds/hoists / mobility equipment.
  • Ensuring a high standard of service and repair for equipment from our company and other manufacturers, both on-site and at customer locations.
  • Upholding and applying extensive product knowledge to effectively manage servicing and repair tasks.
  • Building strong, respectful relationships with clients and their carers, maintaining a clean, organized, and professional working environment.
  • Adhering to health and safety protocols and using suitable equipment during service tasks.
  • Organizing and managing your daily responsibilities in alignment with agreed Service Level Agreements.
