Recruiter's Overview:

We are currently working with a leading city centre-based law firm that is looking to expand its highly regarded Insolvency and Restructuring team. The firm is seeking an ambitious and skilled Insolvency and Restructuring Solicitor to work across both contentious and non-contentious matters, with the opportunity to play a pivotal role in some of the most complex and high-profile cases in the market.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual who has a solid foundation in insolvency and restructuring law and is looking to advance their career in a highly supportive, yet challenging environment. The firm is open to candidates at a 2+ years PQE level, with the flexibility to consider up to Senior Associate level for candidates with the relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring matters.
  • Managing a diverse caseload, including advising clients on corporate insolvency, personal insolvency, restructuring options, liquidation, and administration processes.
  • Handling both creditor and debtor-side matters, including cross-border issues.
  • Representing clients in court and other dispute resolution forums for contentious insolvency and restructuring issues.
  • Drafting and reviewing complex documentation, including formal insolvency documents, restructuring proposals, and settlement agreements.
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships, providing proactive legal advice, and business development.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members, contributing to the growth and development of the department.
  • Collaborating with other teams across the firm to provide holistic advice to clients.

Key Requirements:

  • 2+ years PQE in Insolvency and Restructuring law (applications from Senior Associates will be considered).
  • Strong knowledge of both contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring matters.
  • Experience in managing insolvency litigation, as well as restructuring projects, including negotiating settlements and restructuring plans.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach, with an ability to handle a varied caseload under pressure.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to generate business development opportunities.
  • Ability to work well within a team while also managing your own workload and deadlines.
  • A keen interest in continuing to develop within the insolvency and restructuring field.
