Are you an experienced and passionate professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in leading a children's residential home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

Contract: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations
  • Support and supervise staff, providing leadership, guidance, and motivation to ensure a positive and therapeutic environment
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to the needs of young people
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies are effectively implemented
  • Act as a role model for staff, promoting best practices in working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)
  • Lead on staff training, development, and performance to ensure a skilled and motivated team
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Level 5 in Leadership & Management desirable or willingness to work towards it)
  • Strong experience in a children's residential care setting, preferably in a leadership or senior role
  • Knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding procedures
  • Experience working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the home
