Position Overview: The Market Abuse Associate will support the compliance team in monitoring and preventing market abuse activities, including insider trading and market manipulation. This role involves daily surveillance of trading activities, investigation of suspicious behaviours, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Associate will work closely with the Market Abuse Specialist and other departments to maintain the integrity of market operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct real-time monitoring of trading activities to detect potential market abuse.
  • Assist in the investigation and analysis of suspicious trades or behaviours.
  • Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure adherence to market abuse regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to prevent market abuse.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a compliance or market surveillance role within financial services.
  • Familiarity with market abuse regulations and financial market operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using compliance monitoring tools and software.
