Course Director - Business Management to lead and manage our Business Management and Business Management & Entrepreneurship courses. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced academic leader to shape the next generation of business professionals and entrepreneurs.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership & Teaching
- Develop and oversee the curriculum for Business Management and Business Management & Entrepreneurship courses.
- Teach across various levels (4-6) and provide academic and pastoral support to students.
- Lead course team meetings and ensure the continuous improvement of course delivery.
- Ensure student success through high-quality teaching, assessment, and feedback.
Industry Engagement & Professional Development
- Build strong connections with industry professionals to enhance course content and employability prospects.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and integrate them into teaching and curriculum development.
- Promote entrepreneurship and innovative thinking among students.
Operations & Management
- Oversee timetabling and workload allocation, ensuring smooth course operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including OfS B3 thresholds (continuation, completion, and progression rates).
- Work closely with the engagement and operational teams to enhance student experience and retention.
- Take on duty-manager responsibilities, including coordinating evening and weekend course delivery.
Requirements
- BA and postgraduate qualification in a relevant business-related field OR equivalent professional experience.
- A teaching qualification (PG Cert or equivalent) or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience in teaching & assessment in a higher education setting.
- Proven track record in curriculum design, development, and student success.
- Strong leadership experience in managing academic teams and course operations.
